New Elvira Notari Box Set!

In a new box set released by Cineteca Nazionale del Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia, six surviving films by Italian pioneer Elvira Notari come back to life, accompanied by critical essays and new original scores. Entitled Elvira Notari. Pioneer of Italian Cinema the box set includes a Blu-ray, DVD, and a bilingual book. It won both the Peter von Bagh Award and the AVI Award at the 2026 Il Cinema Ritrovato festival.

The publication of the box set is one initiative in a major project dedicated to preserving the legacy and sharing the 150th-anniversary celebrations of Italy’s first female director. Read more about the project at elviranotari.it.
