Film Festival: Bonner Sommerkino – Internationale Stummfilmtage, Bonn, Germany, August 13-22, 2026

The Bonn Summer Cinema – International Silent Film Festival is back for its 42nd edition this August. As in past years, many of the films will be available online without geo-blocking for a limited time during the festival.

Selected films include: Adam a Eva (1922), written by and starring Suzanne Marwille; The Garden of Eden (1928), starring Corinne Griffith; Schatten der Weltstadt (1925), produced by and starring Ellen Richter; and Bubis Locken (1919), directed and produced by by Hanna Henning.

On August 22, there will be a special book presentation and screening dedicated to short films by women during the Weimar period, including Lotte Reiniger and Stella F. Simon.
